As a Field Service Area Dispatcher at United Rentals, you will be tasked with organizing the daily dispatch of Field Service Technicians for a metro area in a safe and timely manner. You will work closely with Centralized Branch/Operations Managers, Service Managers and Inside Sales Reps to ensure service calls and exchanges are properly scheduled and executed to guarantee superior customer service. Additional duties include the following:
· Oversee, schedule and dispatch Technicians within the Centralized branch territory utilizing system resources and map module to maximize efficiency
· Drive accurate Service Repair time measurement by ensuring compliance with procedures.
· Balance equipment repair with PM currency demands of on-rent equipment. Ensure necessary service vehicle parts inventory. Prioritize equipment repairs as necessary to minimize Service Repair time
· Schedule off hour/emergency on-call duty with all field technicians. Ensure compliance with escalation procedure Optimize use of overtime and outside
· Assign specific service trucks, as required
· Coordinate third parts service providers as needed for equipment repairs, i.e. tire repair, hydraulic repairs, etc.
· Maintain customer relations via phone, email and fax, when scheduling, cancellations, and changes regarding equipment maintenance and repair types required. (i.e. PMs, Rental Repairs, Exchanges Outsourced services, Customer Owned Equipment)
· Manage and process invoicing of all Field Service Customer Owned Equipment repair, Damage/abuse and Warranty claim processes
· Demonstrate commitment to safety and discipline through exemplary personal compliance, accountability and pro-active communication
· Perform all safety inspections within company and governmental policies
· Other duties assigned as needed
Job Requirements:
· High School diploma or equivalent
· Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
· Technical knowledge of DOT/Federal Motor Carrier rules and regulations
· Diligent attention to safety
· Strong ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
· Strong leadership, organization and communication skills
