How will you make an impact?

As a Sustainability Analyst focused on Supplier Responsibility, you will support Thermo Fisher Scientific’s Scope 3 emissions reduction and Responsible Sourcing objectives by delivering high-quality data analytics and reporting.

Working closely with the Global Sustainability team and cross-functional partners, you will execute supplier sustainability analytics, build and maintain performance dashboards, and support data collection and validation efforts to improve emissions transparency across our supply base.

This role operates within a Data Analytics Council model and focuses on delivering reliable analytics and insights that enable informed decision-making.

What will you do?

Supplier Sustainability Analytics

  • Support tracking of supplier progress against sustainability targets.

  • Maintain and enhance supplier sustainability KPIs and performance dashboards.

  • Support supplier decarbonization initiatives through data collection, validation, and reporting.

  • Analyze supplier emissions data to support Scope 3 accounting efforts.

  • Assist in maintaining data accuracy, documentation, and audit readiness of supplier sustainability data.

Reporting & Continuous Improvement

  • Develop and automate recurring reports related to key sustainability initiatives and annual sustainability business goals.

  • Support emissions modeling and spend-based analysis under direction from senior team members.

  • Ensure data integrity across sustainability reporting platforms.

  • Identify opportunities to improve reporting efficiency and data quality.

Experience

  • 4-6+  years of experience in sustainability, supply chain analytics, procurement analytics, or related roles.

  • Experience translating business requirements into data analytics tools, dashboards, and insights on large data sets

  • Experience collaborating with Procurement or Supply Chain teams.

  • Experience developing financial models and data-driven business cases preferred.

  • Exposure to supplier ESG assessments, CDP, EcoVadis, Carbon Accounting Software or similar frameworks and platforms preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Advanced analytics skills required – ability to collect / interpret data to drive sustainability decisions; Data Visualization tools: Power BI, Excel and Transformation/Automation tools: Alteryx, Smartsheet

  • Preferred skills – SQL, bi-directional data management (APIs, etc) and understanding of supplier sustainability programs and goals

  • Ability to translate complex sustainability data into actionable insights.

  • Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple deliverables with minimal supervision

  • Clear communicator capable of engaging senior stakeholders and external partners
