Job Summary:
The Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Senior Project Manager (DEIPM) will be responsible for the creation, administration, organization and successful execution of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion projects and deliverables.
This is a full-time non-management position, reporting into the SVP Chief Diversity Officer This is a highly collaborative position that requires strong skills in data analysis, data reporting, process mapping, relationship building, managing multiple- stakeholders and competing priorities, and being able to support the team's ability to adapt seamlessly as organizational priorities shift.
Responsibilities include creating and managing project plans, coordinating successful achievement of milestones with project teams and committee members, communicating with DEI leadership and team members on project status, potential challenges, etc., ensuring projects stay on track and on budget, and adjusting, if necessary, to meet new requirements.
Core Responsibilities and Essential Functions:
Provide administrative and tactical management of projects that support the area of DEI Development from beginning to end through all administrative processes and tools available
- Define scope, goals and deliverables and manage changes in project scope throughout the duration of the project .
- Estimate resources and participants needed to achieve project goals, including management of vendors or partner resources
- Develop communication documents
- Responsible for thoroughly understanding and communicating stakeholder requirements to appropriate team members, and managing all requirements accordingly
- Establish clear ownership for project tasks, and ensure that team members have the tools needed, and provide timely feedback
- Delegate tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel
- Identify and resolve issues and conflicts
- Track progress and review project tasks to assign accountability to make certain deadlines are met appropriately
- Ensure projects are completed on time and within scope
- Maintain project plans and track deliverables for the System DEI function
- Administer, collect, analyze data, including internal third-party assessments, surveys and reports Provide advisory and consultative skills to project needs and initiatives.
- Schedule and host regular status meetings with all stakeholders, keeping the stakeholders needs and requirements continuously in view
- Identify potential crises and devise contingency plans
- Build, develop and grow any business relationships vital to the success of the project
- Serves as liaison between project partner resources and DEI operations
- Ensures consistency of DEI, practice and project standards
- Assist in other operational and implementation projects, as required
- Coordinate System and site DEI Council subcommittees
- Collaborate with administrative team members and leaders across the System to ensure on-going, positive communications and success of projects and initiatives Deliverable development and progress tracking
- Develop and deliver project progress reports, tracking, and documentation
- Facilitate policies and procedures during the project needed to meet deliverables
- Attend management, project team, and site DEI council meetings as requested Other duties as assigned
- Provide facilitation and organization of meetings, teams and groups as requested
- Lead the gathering and dissemination of materials for meetings, provide edits and restructuring.
- Participate in System and site activities as directed, for the purpose of capturing highlights, follow-up and action items, etc.
Required Minimum Education:
Bachelor's Degree preferably in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Organizational Psychology or related field Required
Required Minimum License(s) and Certification(s):
All certifications are required upon hire unless otherwise stated.
Additional License(s) and Certification(s):
Certification in Project Management and/or Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Upon Hire Preferred
Required Minimum Experience:
Minimum 7 years of experience in project management, human resources management or diversity, equity & inclusion working with leaders at all in levels in the organization Required and
Experience in a complex multi-site organization in an intermediate to large size organization (5,000 to 10,000 FTEs). Required and
Healthcare experience Preferred
Required Minimum Skills:
Strong knowledge of various project management methodologies (e.g., agile/scrum);
Knowledge of survey and/or engagement platforms and administration;
Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Word, Power Point; Smart Sheets etc.;
Ability to contribute as a team player and as an individual contributor;
Cost and risk management skills;
Excellent written and verbal communication,
interpersonal and negotiation skills;
Ability to interact at all levels of the organization, with professionalism;
Ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality, as appropriate;

HR experience and/or SHRM or HRCI certifications preferred.
