Job Description​

The Clinical Research Nurse will coordinate the conduct of research protocols in the hospital and clinic settings to ensure adherence to the protocol, institutional policies, and applicable federal and state regulations.  
Screens and educates potential candidates about research protocols and obtains informed consent in accordance with institutional policy, IRB guidance, and applicable regulatory requirements.
Participates in sponsor site visits and investigator meetings for assigned clinical trials which may involve occasional travel. Coordinates education for all involved personnel.
Documents patient interactions and completes study data entry.  Communicates to investigators on the results of procedures and tests.
Records research activities in hospital tracking systems.
Collects and prepares laboratory samples.
Maintains investigational product accountability.
Schedules participants follow up visits according to the study protocol.
Schedules and supports sponsor initiated monitor visits for periodic reviewing and querying of collected data in a timely fashion.
Supports study procedures in the Cardiac Cath lab. Multi campus coverage will be required.
