We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Finance Business Partner (m/f/d) to join our team in Munich, Germany.

Your mission would be to be a strategic business partner in one of our Business Unit teams having a strong voice to support them and to participate in the decision making.

You will be instrumental to optimize sales opportunity and if in scope: financial resources, proactively identify opportunities, challenge the return on investment and/or manage the expenses of the Business Unit.

Success in the role requires the ability to interface with senior management, lead and drive change on appropriate level, challenge appropriately and have high degrees of technical and financial competencies.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategy, Business Planning & Performance Management:

  • P&L understanding, management, and accountability (business performance and risk management)
  • Strategic portfolio analysis, market understanding, brand portfolio analysis and scenario planning
  • Work with the Team to build P&L forecasts incorporating Core Commercial Cycle (CCC) and ROI and managing BU performance
  • Lead/Support monthly performance reviews and financial performance of key brands with respective BU leadership team

Core Commercial Cycle:

  • Key partner throughout the Demand Review Meeting (DRM) process, bringing insight and leading to data driven decision making, underpinned by market and customer understanding, including understanding of market growth, market share and other key performance factors

Pricing Optimization and market dynamics:

  • Partner across the business and with experts in our Market Access group to support pricing approval governance
  • Understand overall market dynamics, relative market positioning of products against competitors, market access situation and future trends; Provide recommendations for pricing decisions

Assess ROI (if applicable for the area):

  • Lead/Support investment modelling opportunities to support the business in making investment decisions when opportunities arise
  • Lead scenario planning to maximize use of resources based on ROI analysis

Margin & Cashflow Enhancement (if applicable for the area):

  • Key player to deliver margin enhancement initiatives through innovative cost control; using internal and external benchmarking (where available) to understand best-in-class cost management
  • Support the optimization of controllable SG&A cost (if applicable for the area)

Why you?

Basic requirements:

We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:

  • Degree in Accounting, Economics or Business (or different degrees with Business or Finance qualification) 
  • Requires Finance and Analytics Background
  • Proficiency in Excel, Powerpoint, Financial modelling & analytics experience
  • Excellent influencing and engagement. Ability to engage stakeholders and challenge based on expertise and personal credibility
  • Experience of working in matrix organizations and complex change management projects.
  • Strong communication skills; proficiency in English. German is a plus, but not a must (English is the working language)

Preferred requirements:

  • Understanding of pharmaceutical Industry, previous international exposure and commercial finance experience
  • Financial support experience, preferable with Pharmaceutical Industry experience
