Position Summary:

Support the work in parts fabrication by nesting/programming for CNC routers per weekly schedule demand. Nesting will include all areas of the factory cutting aluminum, wood, vinyl, plastic and UHMW. Strong emphasis on material utilization and minimizing waste. Actively participate in lean activities for parts fabrication processes.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSBILITIES

  • Create nesting programs for routers.
  • Data entry in Sigma Nest and Auto CAD
  • Support CNC brake programming when needed.
  • Work with team to assure quality product and follow documented work instructions.
  • Understands and support safety policies, initiatives, and training programs.
  • Work with parts fabrication team to streamline processes, reduce waste, and support safety initiatives.
  • Have high levels of organizational skills and attention to detail.

Required and Preferred Qualifications:

  • One to three years manufacturing experience
  • CNC programming experience preferred.
  • Must have strong communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
  • Must have computer, math and reading proficiency.
  • Manage multiple tasks and priorities and adapt to change.
  • Must be able to read drawings and specifications.

Required Skills and Education:

  • Computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets, database, and presentation software (MSWord, Excel, Access, PowerPoint)
  • Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent

Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to talk, hear, see, sit. The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, climb, balance, and use arms and hands to reach, pull, push, clasp, and move a variety of materials.  The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.  The noise level in moderate to high in the manufacturing setting.
