The Ultra manufacturing function is responsible for the manufacture, integration and test of a wide range of products and systems providing innovative capabilities for our customers.

Nationality Requirements

Candidates must be eligible to obtain the relevant security clearance required for the role, due to the nature of the programmes we deliver for our customers.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assembles products to engineering specifications and drawings using tools provided.
  • Use soldering irons, solder pots, and hand tools to perform work. 
  • Assemble parts and perform tasks such as harness installation, wire stripping/crimping, Sub and final assembly of large DC power supplies.
  • May assemble prototype units for engineering.
  • Recommends solutions to assembly problems regarding fixtures and tools.
  • Assists other assemblers with questions related to the assembly of our products.

Required Skills:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 2+ years of experience working with mechanical assembly (ideally in a product development or automotive environment).
  • This position requires either a US Person or a non-US Person who is eligible to obtain any required Export Authorization

Desired Skills:

  • 3+ years as a Production Assembler/Technician.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing techniques of electromechanical products.
  • Capable to read engineering drawings including assembly drawings, schematics and engineering instructions.
  • Experience in using basic manufacturing equipment, tools and gages such as: multimeters, torque and force gages, etc.
  • Interpersonal skills with the ability to work well on a team as well as alone.
  • High motivation and drive.
  • Verbal and written communication skills.

Physical Requirements:

  • Lifting and transport of units up to 30 pounds unassisted
  • Ability to use soldering iron
  • Use of hands in a repetitive cycle
