About the Role:

We are looking for a passionate Systems Administrator to join our global IT team. You will focus on ensuring the high availability, security, and efficiency of our network systems and tools. You will work with Infrastructure and Security Engineers to improve and secure network operations while complying with regulatory policies. Your enthusiasm for solving complex network issues and improving systems will deliver excellent service to Remitly employees and customers.

You Will:

• Network Optimization: Build, fine-tune, and manage Remitly’s core network systems and tools.
• Monitoring and Alerting: Design and implement alerting mechanisms; monitor performance and operational metrics of network systems.
• Centralized Administration: Administer Remitly Access Networks across distributed offices, ensuring seamless connectivity and performance.
• Incident Management: Manage and resolve major incidents related to network systems, ensuring minimal impact to services.
• Automation: Reduce provisioning and patching time by using automation infrastructure and cloud formation techniques.
• Security and Compliance: Partner with Security and Compliance teams to enforce strict cross-platform security and audit controls.
• You will report to the IT Manager

You Have:

• 3+ years of experience as a systems administrator or similar positions 
• Experience with high-level scripting language (PowerShell, Go, JavaScript),
• Built integrations for web applications using REST APIs.
• Managed employees identity lifecycle using Okta(or other IdP), and MS Active Directory
• Solid understanding of networking principles and concepts
• Administered Windows and Linux servers, in both on-premise and cloud environments.
• Worked with other technical and functional teams to document and support business rules, system operating procedures that pertain to the Google platform.
• Great documentation practices
• Experience mentoring fellow team members
