About you and this role
We are looking for you, an ambitious Master’s student (m/f/d), to support our Polyurethane Systems House in Ahlen (Westfalia, Germany) by doing an internship project to reduce our blender and reactor cycle times.
Dow is offering great career opportunities in a global and international environment. The department that will welcome you is a customer facing site which manufactures a wide variety of products specific to individual customers across a variety of markets and technologies.
Project description
Producing many products on a finite number of reactors and blenders is challenging. Optimizing the operation of these units unlocks hidden capacity and enables growth whilst minimizing the environmental impact of our operations.
Data is available to analyze the current performance and innovative solutions need to be developed based on leveraging of knowledge from other sites across the globe or based on a fundamental application of chemistry and physics. Dow offers a large degree of autonomy to implement the best solutions in the plant and make sure that the gains are sustainable.
During your internship, you'll gain invaluable hands-on experience, applying data and scientific principles to enhance operational efficiency in a running plant. This opportunity offers a deep dive into the keys to successful operations in the chemical industry and polyurethanes markets. Moreover, networking becomes a powerful tool in your arsenal, as you'll meet diverse professionals in your field. These connections aren't just for the present; they lay the foundation for lasting relationships that can prove to be crucial for your future career growth.
