Job Description:

This role will be part of the Human Resource team of Hitachi Rail and work with the BU HR Leadership team to enable Data driven Decision making in the organization. The incumbent is expected to lead the Talent Analytics COE with the objective of providing high degree of data driven and analytical support to the Rail BU HRLT for strategic and operational decision making in HR.

Key responsibilities include:

Drive a culture of Data Driven Decision Making in the organization through:

  • Standardizing operating KPI’s for the HR function.
  • Establishing Lead and Lag indicators to denote the health of organizational talent pool
  • Create global HR Scorecard for the HR and business community
  • Embed key People Management KPI’s in every discussion and HR Goal sheets
  • Lead the process of publishing periodic and ad hoc analytics of people related data
  • Mine both qualitative and quantitative data to show the comprehensive picture
  • Launch best in class practices like Predictive Analytics for HR team to make forward looking decisions to support the business
  • Periodically review utilization of HR Scorecard and improvise as necessary
  • Set up an Operating Rhythm with HR Leaders to understand their needs for Talent Analytics and support in data driven decision making

Make Talent Analytics accessible:

  • Ensure easy access to meaningful insights for the HR Community across regions based on data for their regions
  • Educate HR teams across the regions on adoption of HR Scorecard and leverage the same in decision making process
  • Ensure access of basic analytics reports for HR Community as standard reports
  • Make Talent Analytics accessible to People Managers
  • Ability to conceptualize the need for external data and find resources to leverage external data sources as necessary

Data and Data Management:

  • Ensure data in HR systems like HiNext is clean through a process of periodic system audit
  • Work with HRIT to ensure that data from various HR sub-systems (e.g. HiNext ATS to HiNext  HCM moves seamlessly across minimizing the need for manual intervention
  • Encourage HR teams to manage transactions through system interface instead of back-end mass uploads
  • Ability to synthesize large amounts of data into coherent insights for use by stakeholders
