The Camera Operator/Video Editor is a meticulous team member who is creative and pays great attention to detail, curating relevant content in a deadline-driven environment. The ideal candidate needs to have a good attitude and not be afraid to wear multiple hats in the production department. The Camera Operator/Video Editor plays a key role in editing video footage for online classes, and in-studio camera operating for filming classes and live events.

JOB DUTIES

  • Responsible for camera operating on film shoots and live shoots, and editing classes and other assets using Adobe Premiere Pro.
  • Manages video, audio and photo assets consistently and with accuracy. This includes assisting with the ingestion of footage and setting up projects in Adobe Premiere Pro, as well as media management/archiving.
  • Creates inspired content monthly that is in line with company branding and aesthetics.
  • Clearly communicates with production team as well as editorial team on a daily/weekly basis.
  • Ability to pitch in and assist the Director with production related duties as needed.
  • Directing, switching, and filming live shoots using various software.
  • Prepares lighting, audio equipment, and scene for studio shoots. Ensures camera is set for production.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

Education Minimum: High School Diploma or equivalent

Experience Minimum: 2-4 years of relevant work experience

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Creativebug’s studio is located in Berkeley, CA, and this position must be in the studio during production days for filming and setup.
  • Sit or stand at a workstation for extended periods while maintaining focus and productivity.
  • Move around an office space/studio while reaching for products, supplies, or equipment, as well as the ability to adapt to various workstation setups.
  • Work standard business hours and extended hours as needed based on task and project demands.
  • Utilization of all communication styles - written, verbal, electronic options.
  • Lift and carry office supplies, documents, product, or equipment as needed for tasks such as organizing or setting up workstations and studio setup.

  • Strong understanding of Adobe Photoshop
  • A working knowledge of After Effects
  • Strong understanding of sound operation, including problem solving with Sound Devices 702, Lav Microphones, and mixer
  • Excellent multi-tasker with outstanding people skills and the ability to stay calm and grounded under pressure
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines
  • Respectful and professional demeanor
  • Excellent at file management and organization of video files
