WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We’re looking for 2 Senior Merchants for EMEA Value stores – one role responsible for Men’s Lifestyle and one role responsible for Women’s Lifestyle. In these roles you are part of the Merchandising organization specifically focused on our Nike Value (Factory/Outlet) stores portfolio. You will be part of a team of Merchants with a passion for product & consumer and are focused on optimizing seasonal assortments, obsess how a product comes to life and manage in-season business results. With that, a key component is to help liquidate inventory in the best, most profitable way possible but continue the focus on doing what is best for the consumer. We are looking somewith with a strong affection for Product, Sports and Fashion with the ability to build successful assortments through careful evaluation of data and insights.
 

WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON

If this is you, you’ll be working with a team of merchants to deliver consumer right assortments for 200+ of our Nike Value stores. It is your job to drive seasonal consumer right, distinctive product assortments against key merchandising principles, managing SKUs, price architecture, flow, and color. You will lead and inform product decisions to cross-functional teams such as Retail Brand, Planning and Allocation, and online platforms teams, to ensure a flawless consumer journey. With that you are following the overarching strategy but if you get excited to look for creative and future thinking solutions to improve and optimize our business, that is more than welcome.

WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH

  • You will closely partner with your Squad within the Value team. This includes Business Planning, Assortment Planning, Allocation, Liquidation and Retail Marketing all located within EHQ, but well as our Retail partners working on our fleet in Territory.

  • A close partnership with our Nike Direct inline business, Consumer Merchandising, as well as 3rd party vendors is also important to ensure we create one voice within our marketplace.

  • To gain insights you will get the chance to go on market travel and meet the teams in the field to make sure we keep a close eye on consumer needs.

  • Lastly, you will work with our Nike Value Global partners who are based in the US. It is critical we make sure to get the consumer insights across to the product teams over there that create the assortment.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • A passion for Product, Consumer, Fashion and Sports.

  • Retail experience is key. This varies from Buying and Merchandising to (assortment) Planning or allocation for Retail business.

  • Prioritization skills are a huge benefit while managing different deadlines & ad hoc request.

  • Flexible mindset and ability to combine to be able to adjust plans to new realities.

  • Experience with Multitasking can truly help managing different Seasonal strategies at the same time. 

  • Solution oriented where a creative & future thinking mindset is a pre.

  • Teamwork is a key component within this job as you need to be able to manage different stakeholders.

  • Strong business orientation, commercial sense, analytical skill and retail math.

  • We work with different Nike developed tools and systems where Excel skills are a must.
