Position: Senior Software Engineer

Job Location: 860 W. California Avenue, Sunnyvale, CA 94086

Duties: Build and operate highly scalable backend services that can serve thousands of requests per second to serve Advertisements on Walmart.com. Play an active role in architecting and improving backend software system and data pipelines. Identify existing bugs, flaws, leaks and fix the gaps in systems. Develop robust, maintainable, reusable code and software tools for managing configuration, deployment, monitoring, performance, scalability, availability, security and alerting for test, integration and production environments. Identify the bottlenecks, fine-tune the services and explore state-of-the-art technologies to migrate existing services to improve efficiency/failure-rates and meet SLAs.

Minimum education and experience required: Master’s degree or the equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering (any) or related field and 2 years of experience in large scale enterprise software development environment; OR Bachelor's degree or the equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering (any) or related field and 5 years of experience in large scale enterprise software development environment.

Skills required: Experience coding in Object Oriented Programming language including Java or C#. Experience designing and implementing web apps, services and REST APIs using Web Framework. Experience using and working with Azure Cloud and Azure Services. Experience using Project Management Tool Jira. Experience with CI/CD pipelines including Jenkins and Azure DevOps. Experience working with and integrating SQL (relational) and no-SQL (non-relational) databases. Experience with Unit Test Framework including PyTest and XUnit. Experience with managed enterprise messaging service including Azure Service Bus. Experience with Code Version Control System Git. Employer will accept any amount of experience with the required skills.

Salary Range: $174,518/year to $234,000/year. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance incentives.   Additional compensation for certain positions may also include: Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) (based on location) and Stock equity incentives.
