JOB DESCRIPTION:
Primary Function:
Reporting to the Financial Controller the Payroll & Pensions Analyst will be part of a team responsible for efficiently and effectively operating the payroll and pension function while meeting regulatory & internal requirements.
Goals / Objectives
- Perform daily payroll operations and manage workflow to ensure all payroll transactions are processed accurately and timely
- Perform daily pension operations and manage workflow to ensure all pension transactions, statements and other pension reports are processed accurately and timely
- Ensure payrolls are completed and approved on time
- Ensure payroll taxation compliance
- Process accurate and timely monthly, year-end and adhoc reporting for payroll related transactions as required
- Liaising with Corporate HR and with Tax Advisers for expatriate employees as required
- Timely responses to employee and Management payroll & pension queries.
- Monthly and Annual PAYE returns
- Support to other finance related functions as required
- Initiate new ideas, practices and concepts and execute programs, proposals to drive continuous improvement and enhance business performance.
- Complete general accounting tasks for payroll/pension.
- Design/update and deploy procedures which the business intends to use to complete payroll processing
- Lead/drive/support initiatives/projects as agreed with Manager in support of overall Payroll/Pension Goals and Objectives
- Responsible for ensuring the internal control is accurate for payroll & pension processing .
- Drive and own the monthly metric reporting process
- Carry out month end, and annual pension and payroll reconciliations.
Education Required:
- Payroll qualification e.g. IPASS desirable
- Accounting Qualification desirable

Knowledge/Experience:
Required:
- Financial Accounting experience
- Knowledge of Payroll systems essential. (CorePay experience desirable.)
- Highly established working knowledge of every area of payroll processing
- Proficient user of MS Office applications. Excellent Excel skills. Confident with manipulating and analysing complex data.
Desired
- Experience of Payroll processing for employees on global mobility programs desirable
- Experience and awareness of pension administration requirements
Accountability / Scope
- Accuracy and timeliness of reporting. Follow up on weaknesses and opportunities as identified. Flexibility is required as scope of responsibilities could change to meet changing business needs.
- Formal goals are reviewed on a regular basis and formal performance reviews are carried out.
