Pay Details:
The annual base salary range for this position in California is $160,000 to $200,000 per year. The starting pay for the successful candidate depends on various job-related factors, including but not limited to the candidate’s geographic location, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, education/training, internal value, peer equity, external market demands, and organizational considerations.We are seeking an innovative and results-oriented Director of App Product Management & Strategy to take ownership of a mobile app that currently serves the Ducks and Honda Center, with a mission to expand with the variety of businesses and experiences that will encompass OCVIBE, a new sports and entertainment district set to open in 2026.
You will lead cross-functional teams, partner with external stakeholders, and focus on creating a seamless and engaging user experience for OCVIBE, the Anaheim Ducks, and Honda Center guests. This is a high-impact role where you will be empowered to innovate, build and shape product strategy, and directly contribute to business growth.
Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & Product Vision:
Define the Why: Establish a clear product vision that aligns with the organization's broader business goals and customer engagement strategy. Your work will be critical in enhancing guest experiences across multiple sectors, including sports, entertainment, hospitality, and real estate
App Roadmap Ownership: Build, refine, and manage a short-term and long-term product roadmap, ensuring strategic alignment with company objectives and long-term growth
Growth Through OKRs: Manage and grow the app based on well-defined Objectives and Key Results (OKRs), ensuring continuous evolution to meet both business and user needs
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Stakeholder Management:
Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Partner with internal teams (Marketing, Ticketing, Technology, Food & Beverage, Sponsorship, and Real Estate/Development) to ensure the app delivers on our business objectives through exceptional user experiences
External Partnerships: Act as the primary point of contact for external partners, ensuring alignment and consistency in app experiences, while influencing partner roadmaps to unlock future capabilities
Navigate Stakeholder Needs: Balance and prioritize competing goals across internal business units, ensuring that everyone’s objectives are met while maintaining the app’s core mission and user focus
User Experience & Customer Engagement:
Own the User Experience: Take full ownership of the end-to-end user experience, ensuring the app features and functionality create a best-in-class consumer experience
Content Strategy Partnership: Collaborate with the Content Production team to build a content strategy that enhances the app experience, ensuring consistent delivery of engaging and relevant content across the Ducks, Honda Center, Special Events and OCVIBE
Feature Utilization: Ensure the app’s features are aligned with the broader digital ecosystem, driving engagement through segmentation, personalization, loyalty and CRM mechanisms
Data-Driven Development & Optimization:
Leverage Data for Optimization: Partner with the Data Insights Group (DIG) to ensure effective data capture, quality, and utilization, driving product improvements based on actionable insights
Digital KPIs: Define and benchmark digital KPIs, regularly monitor the app’s health and performance, and share key insights with leadership and stakeholders
Continuous Improvement: Measure the success of features, content, and events, iterating based on data to optimize performance and drive user satisfaction
Operational Excellence & Innovation:
Deliver with Excellence: Manage operational processes to ensure the timely release of new features and updates, ensuring high quality and mitigating risks along the way
Testing and QA: Oversee testing and quality assurance to ensure a consistent and reliable app experience, escalating issues proactively when necessary
Innovate and Unlock New Capabilities: Continuously explore opportunities to unlock new platform capabilities in collaboration with partners, staying ahead of industry trends and technological advancements
Skills
Proven experience as a Product Manager, ideally with experience across multiple sectors (sports, entertainment, hospitality, real estate)
Experience with OKRs, KPIs, and data analytics is highly desirable
Experience in using data-driven decision-making to optimize product performance and improve user experiences
A track record of successfully developing and growing mobile apps, from defining strategy to execution and iteration
Strong understanding of mobile app development, user experience principles, and modern digital ecosystems (CRM, personalization, segmentation)
Strong leadership skills with experience managing cross-functional teams and external partners
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to balance the needs of various stakeholders
Able to manage competing priorities and work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
Education - Bachelor's Degree
Experience Required – 8+
