Job Title: Insights Analytics Analyst
Location: Bengaluru-Manyata Tech Park

Our team is composed of data and Analytics engineers who closely work with Traders, Quants, Treasury and Front-Office IB&M colleagues and provide support which is designed to help calculate and evaluate market and credit risk across a broad suite of Fixed Income, FX, Commodities and Equity products. We deliver data to support market trading while also managing quality controls over various products used for financial risk reporting.

Impact & Contribution: The role involves working closely with CommBank’s Market Data Core focused on delivering actionable market insights & data through a process of collection, validation and publication across a range of Fixed Income, Commodities, FX, Equities and other financial market products. This function is responsible for Market Data management on behalf of the Group to enhance decision making which will positively affect our customers.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Perform analysis to understand the data and identify patterns.
  • Work with Projects and other regulatory/market changes.
  • Educate, communicate and positively influence stakeholders across the bank and externals.
  • Utilize data and analytical tools and automation to help make meaningful decisions with a can-do attitude.
  • Build state-of-the-art data and analytics creating better experiences for our internal and external customers.


Essential Skills:

  • 3-6years experienced professionals with Excel or VBA skills.
  • Experience in driving solutions by reconciling data, detecting issues and identifying patterns.
  • Have great learning attitude and strong interest in financial markets and market data validation.
  • Comfortable in executing, developing and debugging queries using scripts/systems provided. Translate findings into actionable insights for the business.
  • Familiarity with APS 116 / 117 or similar APRA documentation is desired.
  • Good problem-solving skills, comfortable working in complex, challenging environments with an ability to deliver high quality, accurate and on-time insights and analytics.
  • Good written and presentation skills, comfortable presenting to groups and having an ability to master new tools as required.
  • Outcome orientated, persistence to challenge the status quo and deliver customer results with an ability to negotiate on delivery timelines and communicate to stakeholders on trade-offs and benefits.


Education Qualification: Bachelor’s degree/Master’s degree in Engineering in Computer Science/Information Technology or Business Administration.
