Seven years of marketing communications or brand marketing experience
University degree or related post-secondary diploma / certificate in Communications, Public Relations, Business, Journalism, or associated field preferred
Demonstrated strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task
Solid understanding of all communications channels and the role they play within a marketing communications plan and campaign media mix
Ability to assess creative and how well it supports the communications objectives, including both functional and emotional dimensions
Excellent stakeholder management and people skills
Effective communication and presentation skills
Strong non-authoritative leadership skills – able to excel in a project manager role, building strong collaborative relationships with business owners, internal channel leads and agency partners
Sports marketing experience would be an asset
Responsibilities:
Work with a diverse set of business groups, including B2B (Wholesale) and B2C (Retail) -- in areas such as energy/fuels, c-store, car wash, loyalty, strategic partnerships, and sponsorship to deliver strong marketing initiatives; including omni-channel ad campaigns, sponsorship and events
Develop integrated agency briefs for creative and media plans, and work closely with external agencies and internal channel leads through creative development and production across multiple channels including signage, broadcast, and various digital platforms
Lead the planning and execution of our Olympic Games advertising campaigns and engagement activities
Translate customer insights and campaign performance metrics into strategic recommendations for continuous improvement of customer communications
Assist the Brand Director with various strategic initiatives and partner negotiations

This is an office-based role. You will work out of our Calgary head office, located in the Suncor Energy Centre at 150 – 6th Ave S.W.
Hours of work are a regular 40-hour work week, Monday to Friday.
Our business professional roles follow internal compensation guidelines and the pay band will generally be based years of experience and scope of work.
