Job Description Summary:

Our Digital Marketing team, comprising experts in digital marketing, social media, web operations, and content creation, works together to deliver exceptional digital work. This role is crucial to our strategy, serving patients, physicians, and hospital staff.

As a Social Media Manager at OhioHealth, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing our digital presence and engaging with our community. You will be responsible for creating, managing, and optimizing social media content across various platforms to support OhioHealth’s mission of making healthcare simple, accessible, and affordable. This role involves collaborating with internal teams and external agencies to deliver impactful social media campaigns that resonate with patients, physicians, and hospital staff.

Key Responsibilities:
• Content Creation and Management: Develop and manage engaging social media content, including videography, photography, video editing, and copywriting, to drive brand awareness and audience engagement.

• Social Media Strategy: Lead organic and paid social media efforts, including monitoring and analyzing performance metrics to optimize campaigns.

• Community Engagement: Foster and manage social media communities, including handling crisis communications and supporting thought leadership initiatives.

• Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams and external agencies to align social media strategies with broader marketing goals.

• Event Support: Provide social media coverage for OhioHealth events and participate in on-call duties for social channels.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree (Required)
  • Degree or equivalent experience
  • Field of Study: Social Media, Digital Marketing, Journalism, Communication or related field
  • 5-8 years of experience in a corporate, media, or agency setting

SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE

  • Proficient in social media, audiences, and performance metrics
  • Skilled in content creation for social channels, including videography, photography, video editing, and copywriting
  • Experience with recruitment and employee engagement social channels (e.g., Glassdoor, Indeed)
  • Experienced with social publishing and monitoring platforms (e.g., Sprout Social)
  • Adept in social community management and social influencer management
  • Knowledgeable in crisis management

  • Raises brand awareness and builds opportunities to engage OhioHealth’s social audiences

  • Manages organic and paid social media efforts, including monitoring and analysis
  • Collaborates with internal teams and external agencies on social media-related projects and campaigns
  • Attends OhioHealth events for social media support
  • Supports OhioHealth’s thought leadership platforms and content
  • Advises on crisis communications on OhioHealth’s brand social channels
  • Participates in on-call duties for OhioHealth social channels
