The Thought Leader Liaison (TLL) role is charged with engaging and working closely with U.S External Experts and Local Influential Physicians (EE’s) in therapeutic areas in which GSK has specialty brand interests – the role is a marketing role and reports to the Senior Director, Strategic Engagement. The TLL will follow marketing policies and maintain appropriate coordination with medical, compliance, legal and regulatory guidelines.

Job Responsibilities:

• Lead, coordinate and plan GSK marketing engagement with US based EEs (top 10%-15% of EEs as assigned by marketing leadership, with input from medical affairs leadership). This includes building and maintaining effective working relationships with EEs in the specialty therapeutic areas and regular cadence of contact with assigned EE’s

• Manage and coordinate EE executive encounters with commercial leaders. Includes planning and execution of EE engagements and executive encounters at local, regional, and national conferences, POAs, in field engagements, and other venues as directed in a compliant manner.

• Coordinate marketing and EE relations related to Peer to Peer education as directed by marketing and medical affairs leadership. This primarily includes speaker training logistics (medical delivers actual speaker training) and event support, however, does not include the TLL assigning or choosing EEs for educational events (although TLL may provide input in certain scenarios). Always align to GSK policies on use of external faculty.

• Lead marketing coordination with key stakeholders as needed and appropriate, including medical affairs, such as acting as support and coordination of commercial advisory boards as directed by leadership.

• Where appropriate, seek EE feedback based on leadership direction and legal approval. TLL will be responsible for compliantly documenting informal advice seeking objectives with appropriate internal approvals. Example may include informal feedback on new or considered changes to sales and/or educational material.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree

• A minimum of 10 years of work experience in one or more of the following: field sales, product marketing, or medical / clinical experience in the same or related therapeutic area within the Pharmaceutical / Biotech industry

• Minimum of 2 years of Specialty (e.g., Respiratory Biologic and/or Immunology) biologic marketplace experience required.

• Valid driver's license

• Ability to travel ~ 60% - 80% from Texas to Ca ( Western half of the US).

• Must live within 30 miles of a major US Airport in the western half of the US

  Ability to travel nationally to meetings/trainings/programs as necessary.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master’s degree

• Strong Account Management skills and experience

• Marketing and or sales management experience

• Understanding and experience working across an organization to engage effectively with HCPs

• Ability to present ideas effectively to individuals or groups, targeting presentation to the needs of the audience

• Strong project management experience, including superior analytical and planning skills.

• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

• Demonstrated strong orientation to ethics and compliance

• Ability to assemble and lead cross-functional teams toward a shared vision of success

• Ability to deliver agreed objectives under tight timelines

The annual base salary for new hires in this position ranges from $154,785 to $209,415 taking into account a number of factors including work location, the candidate’s skills, experience, education level and the market rate for the role. In addition, this position offers an annual bonus and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program which is dependent on the level of the role.
