About the team:

SRE automation engineer Team will build automations to simplify operations and processes, collaborate with cross-functional teams to create proactive engineering mechanisms and ensure positive end user experiences. Team with a good understanding of Products & interdependencies, with blend of pragmatic, operational and software development skills, will apply sound engineering principles, operational discipline, and mature automation to our operating environments and the codebase.

What you will be doing:

  • Develop, test, implement and maintain automation solutions across platforms with critical focus on reducing toil, improving reliability and observability.
  • Partner with the core teams to develop understanding of product, platform, tools, and technologies.
  • Improve monitoring, logging, and alerting tools with a focus on self-healing and observability.
  • Provide expertise in automation with platform services, mentoring the team members and ensuring best practices are followed.
  • Measure and optimize system performance, with an eye toward pushing our capabilities forward, getting ahead of customer needs, and innovating to continually improve.

What you bring:

  • 5 to 10 Expertise in scripting languages Windows PowerShell, Bash, Python or Perl. Demonstrable web development and SQL experience
  • Ability to Automate repetitive tasks using scripts, RPA (Robotics Process Automation), Power Automate, UiPath etc.)
  • Exposure with Jenkins Harness, Splunk and Resolve
  • Experience working on cloud-based infrastructure e.g., AWS, Azure. Experience with infrastructure as code (Terraform or CloudFormation).
  • Experience with configuration management systems like Ansible, Chef or Puppet.

Added bonus if you have:

  • Knowledge of end-to-end systems development life cycles, i.e., waterfall, iterative and other modern approaches to software development
  • Knowledge of FIS’ products and services
  • Knowledge of the business goals, objectives and business operations for the appropriate FIS organization
