Role Summary

As a Tax Manager, your role entails supporting tax matters for entities in the Netherlands, under the supervision of the Director, Europe and MEA Tax.

Your responsibilities will include ensuring tax compliance and reporting for DXC Netherlands entities, managing tax accounting and audits, monitoring filing deadlines, and optimizing tax impacts on cash flow. Additionally, you'll provide transaction and tax planning support and offer tax guidance to local business operations.

This position offers remote work opportunities, with occasional travel to the office for meetings with colleagues or tax authorities, suitable for candidates based in the Netherlands.

Responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):

  • preparing local direct tax filings, working with advisors to ensure the accurate and timely submission of returns;

  • managing tax compliance and reporting processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness;

  • preparing and reviewing corporate and deferred tax calculations for statutory accounts, including required note disclosures for DXC Netherlands entities;

  • assisting the provision team with the quarterly tax closing and reporting processes under US GAAP reporting including quarterly and year end reporting, return to provision calculations and the management and documentation of uncertain tax positions in the Netherlands;

  • overseeing tax authority audits and inquiries, providing necessary documentation and support;

  • preparing, maintaining and providing supporting documentation in accordance with Dutch corporate income tax law (e.g. documentation requirements for DXC Netherlands entities in accordance with ATAD 2);

  • assisting the transfer pricing team with the preparation of transfer pricing reports, CbCR documentation  EU and OECD compliant documentation;

  • supporting the International Planning team in tax planning initiatives, internal restructuring and strategy development;

  • providing tax support to business units on ad-hoc queries;

  • staying updated on changes in tax laws, regulations, and rulings;

  • maintaining organized tax records, documentation, and filing systems;

  • ensuring compliance with current and preparation for future EU and OECD tax initiatives (e.g DAC6, ATAD 1 and 2, Pillar 2, etc.);

  • performing other ad-hoc tax duties as needed

Basic Qualifications

  • Dutch speaker who is also fluent in English (written and oral);

  • Excellent understanding of Dutch corporate income tax and related Dutch tax laws;

  • Tax and/or accounting professional qualification with 5+ years of experience in Dutch corporate income tax compliance obtained within professional tax consultancy firms or in-house tax function;  Technically strong corporate tax accounting with thorough understanding of local and US GAAP tax (desirable) reporting requirements;

  • Degree in Tax, Finance, Accounting, or a relevant field, or equivalent combination of education and experience;

  • Post-graduate Tax Qualification preferrable.

  • Proficient with Excel and other Microsoft Office applications;

Other Qualifications:

  • Ability to manage workload to tight deadlines and prioritise multiple tasks and work streams;

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;

  • OneSource Tax Provision experience an advantage, but training can be provided;

  • Ability to work remotely, in an international environment, reporting to remote management and working closely with remote teams located in different countries;

  • A continuous learner who stays abreast with industry knowledge and technology.
