Immediate opportunities are available for talent Welders who want to become part of the Johnson Controls team. Due to high demand, we are now hiring multiple Welders at our Wichita, KS manufacturing facility for ALL shifts. As a Welder, you will be responsible for using specialized equipment and techniques to fabricate and repair metal structures and equipment. In this role, you will work closely with our facilities services team to ensure that all welding projects are completed efficiently and to the highest standard of quality. You will have the opportunity to put your welding skills to use on a wide range of projects, from repairing equipment to constructing new structures.

What You’ll Do:

  • Perform welding tasks using various techniques such as MIG, TIG, and arc welding.
  • Interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine welding requirements.
  • Fabricate and repair metal structures and equipment as required. 
  • Inspect and test welded joints to ensure they meet quality standards.
  • Collaborate with the facilities services team to plan and execute welding projects.
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment, adhering to all safety regulations and protocols. 
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any welding-related issues that may arise during projects. 

What We Look For:

  • High school diploma or equivalent. 
  • Proven experience as a Welder. 
  • Proficiency in MIG, TIG, and arc welding techniques. 
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications. 
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work. 
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
  • Physical stamina and the ability to work in various weather conditions. 
  • Valid welding certification is a plus.
