Universal Collision Centre has a permanent full-time position open for an Estimator!

As a Collision Estimator at UCC, you will play a crucial role in the repair process by accurately assessing the extent of damage to vehicles and providing detailed repair estimates.
 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Inspect automobile body damage to identify the exact extent of all damage
  • Develop and supply insurance company with all estimates based on evaluation by accurately costing parts, supplies, and labour 
  • Review estimates with insurance adjuster to gain repair and replacement approval
  • Document approved repair and replacement services required by creating work orders in the work management software
  • Work closely with repair technicians to discuss repair plans, clarify any technical aspects, and ensure accurate estimates
  • Obtain all appropriate approval signatures from insurance companies and customers before work begins
  • Maintain body shop records by recording all repair and replacement actions in the work management software
  • Stay updated on industry standards, repair techniques, and advancements in automotive technology to make informed assessments

Requirements:

  • Experience in a Body Shop environment an asset
  • Unrestricted driver license
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
  • Ability to prioritize and maintain professionalism during high-volume periods
  • Self-driven to work independently and the ability to work effectively and collaborate with a team
  • Advanced decision-making and problem-solving abilities

Working knowledge of body shop software such as Mitchell is an asset but not mandatory
