Job Duties:   

  • Perform installation, repair to lighting, power circuits, electrical controls of machines and to component parts of machine tools and plant equipment. 

  • Perform complete facilities construction and repair projects. 

  • Highly diversified work involving complex use of machinists, electricians, plumbers' hand and power tools and equipment. 

  • Judgment required diagnosing, plan, and layout, install, build, test and repair complex types of electrical, mechanical, electronic, hydraulic equipment. 

Qualifications:  

  • High school diploma or equivalent  

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints.  

  • Prior experience working with Mechanical, Electrical, Pneumatics/Hydraulics, Electronics, Facilities Maintenance, or Welding.  

  • Successful complete of Qualifying Test. Must be willing to work in a production environment with consistent work on your feet  

  • Must provide your own steel toed shoes (other PPE provided by JCI)  

  • Perform physical work including standing, bending, or lifting to 50 pounds  

  • While some experience in production or manufacturing is preferred, this role is 100% entry-level with on-the-job training  

This role is for 2nd shift 3pm to 11:30pm from Monday to Friday morning with rotating weekends

PRINCIPAL DUTIES:

Maintenance Mechanics III performs the following:

Electrical:

1. Plan working procedure, layout job, bend, thread and install conduit, make required mounting brackets, mount switch, controls, and electrical parts make complete installation of lighting and power circuits and electrical controls of machine tools and plant equipment. Test controls after installation and repair any malfunctions. Make connections to live circuits when required.

2. Diagnose trouble and perform repairs on equipment such as drive motors, instruments, control panels, and heating, cooling, ventilating, cleaning, humidification equipment.

Mechanical:

1. Perform operations required to dismantle machines or equipment for repair of parts or components. Set up and operate a full complement of machine tools and attachments to make, repair, or alter parts working from sketches, drawings or from sample parts. Fit, align, reassemble, checkout and adjust repaired apparatus.

Facilities Maintenance:

1. Perform a variety of the more complicated electrical, welding, and plumbing, sheet metal, and refrigeration requiring a thorough understanding of principles in order to fabricate, build, finish, repair, service and maintain facilities, grounds and equipment from drawings, sketches and other similar information.

2. Use a variety of electrical, heating cooling and ventilating test equipment, pinpoint and remedy trouble. Must have a thorough understanding of electrical circuitry, gas and fluid flow, heat transfer, and refrigeration principles in order to install, service and repair control and operational systems. Must follow all lock out-tag out procedures as needed.

3. Inspect and maintain records on plant lifting equipment, chains, cables, slings, clamps, etc… Inspect service, lubricate, and repair cranes, material handling, and transportation
