Job Summary:

The Brand Marketing department is looking for a Marketing Specialist to join the team in Tokyo office.

The Marketing Specialist will work closely with the Marketing manager and other team members to support the development of integrated marketing plans and drive their day-to-day execution to position the Columbia brand as an authentic outdoor brand in Japan.

Responsibilities:

Through all these activities, position Columbia as an authentic outdoor brand, and enhance brand recognition and purchase intent among target users.

  • Promotion: Develop and implement effective promotion plans for the Columbia brand and products based on an understanding of consumer, market, and competitive conditions.
  • Events: Plan and execute events where consumers can directly interact with the brand, building emotional connections with consumers.
  • PR: Maximize brand and product exposure by establishing good relationships with necessary media and stylists and editors.
  • Athletes/Ambassadors: Provide necessary products to contract athletes and ambassadors who embody the brand in a timely manner to boost media and SNS exposure. Additionally, provide feedback on product impressions to the product department to contribute to further product improvements.
  • Influencers: Effectively utilize influencers to achieve necessary exposure and contribute to improving the brand image.
  • Social media: Develop content for consumer communication media operated by the company.
  • Communication: Build good relationships with relevant departments (retail, sales, GTM, VMD, product department, etc.) to smoothly gather and disseminate necessary information for effective and efficient plan development.
  • Regional Partnership Agreements: Develop and implement projects with partner organizations to gain brand fans in each region.
  • Reporting: Prepare materials for sharing marketing plans in advance and reporting results after implementation, and present at various meetings.
