Sr. Associate, Collections Operations

Responsible for the day-to-day oversight operations supporting the SBNA Affiliate Oversight process. Analyzes and reviews data tools, business processes and operational standards to execute service delivery. Evaluates and ensures that servicer operations meet company objectives, business needs, service agreements and relevant requirements. Researches and monitors external landscape to identify developments and translate them into operational implications for the company.



Essential Functions/Responsibility Statements:

  • Subject matter expert across all processes and functions within the Collections division, including processes and functions outside of their direct responsibility.
  • Partner in cross-functional initiatives as the subject matter expert for Collections and Servicing Operations, this includes system conversions or enhancements.
  • Effective vertical communication and engagement with peers/control partners regarding processes, systems, and/or functions within the servicing relationship.  Ability to communicate constructive feedback related to results and partner to determine solutions. 
  • Execute service manager responsibilities which includes ensuring vendor adherence to servicing agreement requirements, proven experience conducting vendor risk assessments, escalation of vendor performance breaches, and timely completion and reporting of oversight activities including transactional testing.
  • Strong analytical skills including experience when assessing data related to the servicing engagement and supporting the broader affiliate relationship.

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience: Collections Operations Management, Accounting, Business Controls/Quality Monitoring or equivalent field.


Work Experience:

  • 3+ years in one or more technical systems such as PEX, SQL, Python and reporting tools such as Tableau.


Skills and Abilities:

 

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • High level of technical skills across numerous banking platforms and systems.
  • Able to manage and analyze large data sets, draw conclusions and substantiate them with the data set.
  • Strong understanding of collection laws and regulations.
  • Thorough knowledge of consumer, residential, commercial and/or dealer originated installment lending as applicable.
  • Basic knowledge of on-line collection systems.
  • Strong planning and organizational skills.
  • Ability to resolve complex problems with minimal guidance.

Working Conditions: Frequent Minimal physical effort such as sitting, standing and walking. Occasional moving and lifting equipment and furniture is required to support onsite and offsite meeting setup and teardown. The base pay range for this position is posted below and represents the annualized salary range. For hourly positions (non-exempt), the annual range is based on a 40-hour work week. The exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, training, licensure and certifications and location.

Minimum:

$60,750.00 USD

Maximum:

$87,500.00 USD
