We are looking for a highly experienced Service Director to lead and manage the full operational function of a fast-paced service and installation business in the UK. This is a senior leadership role requiring strategic oversight, operational excellence, and a strong customer focus.

Key Responsibilities

  • Take full ownership of service operations, including installation, maintenance, and after-sales support.
  • Develop and implement operational strategies to ensure efficiency, profitability, and customer satisfaction.
  • Lead and inspire a large, multi-disciplinary team, driving performance and accountability.
  • Oversee scheduling, resource planning, and project delivery across multiple sites.
  • Ensure compliance with UK regulations, health & safety standards, and industry best practices.
  • Manage budgets, P&L, KPIs, and operational reporting to meet business objectives.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership on growth initiatives and continuous improvement programs.

Required Experience & Skills

  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in a senior operational leadership role within a fast-paced service and installation environment in the UK.
  • Proven track record of managing full operations, including service delivery, installation projects, and customer service.
  • Strong commercial acumen with experience in budgeting and financial management.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Ability to drive operational efficiencies and implement process improvements.
  • Deep understanding of UK compliance and health & safety regulations.

Desirable

  • Experience in technology-driven service businesses or sectors such as security, fire, telecoms or facilities management.
  • Expertise in change management and scaling operations.
