The opportunity
We are looking for a Project Cargo Manager to lead a regional team within Transport & Logistics (TTL) in our Grid Integration organization for LATAM and NAM region. In this role, you will translate global TTL strategies into regional execution, ensuring operational excellence, compliance, sustainability, and innovation across project cargo logistics.
You will partner with internal stakeholders and specialized logistics providers to deliver complex, multi‑modal transport solutions safely, on time, and on budget, while advancing our decarbonization objectives and developing a high‑performing team.
How you’ll make an impact
Turn TTL transformation objectives into clear regional action plans and deliver against sustainability, operational excellence, and financial targets.
Improve logistics processes, tools, and systems; drive digitalization/automation and maintain accurate master data.
Use transport management and trade compliance systems to plan and schedule project cargo; select optimal modes and routes balancing cost, risk, CO₂, and schedule.
Engage, evaluate, and steer specialized partners (3PLs, forwarders, carriers); identify bundling opportunities to reduce cost and CO₂ without impacting project plans.
Ensure adherence to local/global regulations; optimize customs procedures, free‑trade benefits, and distribution flows.
Implement cost‑reduction initiatives and guide stakeholders on Incoterms and logistics solutions; monitor and improve cost performance.
Map the carbon footprint of operations and implement reduction actions in line with TTL sustainability targets.
Lead and develop a regional team of logistics professionals; ensure proper staffing, capability building, motivation, and performance management.
Responsible for ensuring compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.
Your background
3-5 years solid experience in project cargo / freight forwarding within a global, matrixed environment.
Proficiency with transport planning, customs & trade applications, and TMS solutions.
Strong knowledge of multimodal transport planning, Incoterms, and global trade compliance.
Proven track record managing 3PLs/forwarders and coordinating complex logistics projects.
Demonstrated ability to drive continuous improvement, digitization, and standardization.
Fluency in stakeholder management with strong communication and influencing skills.
Experience leading professional teams, creating clarity on goals and delivering operational results.
Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Excellent English, written and verbal as well as confident use of SharePoint, Excel, and core Office tools.
