People Leader Role: No Essential Responsibilities: Individual Responsibilities: • Partner with lines of business and functional areas to provide strategic recruiting services to ensure that the company’s recruiting programs maximize visibility and result in high quality hires • Assess candidates using behavioral based interviewing to ensure top quality talent is selected • Coach managers on the recruiting process, interview techniques, and selection criteria • Stay current on recruitment trends by maintaining and enhancing a network of contacts in the industry, participating in industry events and professional associations • Partner with management in the proactive sourcing of talent for critical skill areas to build a talent pipeline • Create and execute strategic sourcing plans to attract top talent, both passive and active • Effectively utilize Affinity groups to attract targeted talent groups to MANULIFE • Internally market our services to employees and managers, promoting our value add and expertise • Drive the candidate selection process and ensure managers have the tools needed to select the most qualified candidate • Ensure all staffing processes are fair and equitable and comply with all relevant government regulations • Manage and/or participate in projects as needed • Other duties as assigned Shared Responsibilities: • n/a Job Requirements: • BS/BA • 5-7 years of recruiting experience • Experience using alternative sourcing methods, with a focus on social media and networking tools • Demonstrated success in taking a consultative approach with internal and external clients while providing business solutions • Organized and detail oriented with a pro-active approach • Demonstrated ability to navigate an environment with multiple and shifting priorities with ease • Customer centric attitude coupled with a sense of urgency • Strong knowledge of labor market and industry trends • Strong knowledge of business unit products, drivers, and strategies • Exceptional communication skills- crisp and articulate verbal skills in addition to effective written communication required • Well networked Decision Authorities: • Provide salary recommendations to hiring managers based on internal and external market data and candidate salary expectations. • Recommend sourcing strategies and identify proper channels and messages to find targeted sources of high-quality candidates Working Conditions: • MANULIFE IS AN EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER - AA/F/M/D/V 

  • Stakeholder Management and Partnership

    • Engage directly with hiring managers including function heads to support them with their hiring needs
    • Be on top of hiring numbers particularly on fill and hire on time rates
    • Keep business partners up to date on the hiring progress and insights market  through facilitation of weekly, monthly business reviews and reports
    • Effectively articulate overall demands vs hires anchored through data and market insights

     Process Management

    • Act as a subject matter expert in the overall recruitment cycle from recruitment planning to onboarding

    People Management 

    • Supervise a team of 3-5 recruiters to meet hiring targets and SLAs
    • Coach, develop and engage team members

    Job Requisition Management

    • End to end processing and fulfillment of job requisitions

    Job Responsibilities

    • Provide full cycle recruitment from sourcing to account management of volume and specialized roles
    • Establish partnerships with stakeholders by providing talent advisory services and directly engaging to review and understand their business hiring needs
    • Collaborate with the business partners in developing and implementing recruiting plans and strategies
    • Manage assigned requisitions to completion through proper delegation and strict compliance to the standard hiring process
    • Drive and mobilize the team/direct reports to achieve goals based on set targets and monthly SLA
    • Foster collaboration and establish harmonious working relationships within the team
    • Champion engagement and build a winning team

    Qualifications 

    • Graduate of any 4-year course preferably BS Psychology, Human Resources Development/Management or equivalent
    • At least 5 years of experience in end-to-end recruitment of volume and corporate roles preferably in the BPO, Shared Services and IT/Financial companies
    • Must have a strong account and stakeholder management experience
    • Must have the “Talent Advisory Capability” – up-to-date when it comes to market and hiring trends, assertive and confident
    • High Attention to Details, process oriented
    • Resilient and tenacious
    • Knowledge and experience in Workday is an advantage
