We are on the hunt for a talented individual to join the Solutions Consulting team across New Zealand!

As a Solution Consultant at FNZ, you’ll play a vital role in our client-facing teams, acting as a trusted advisor and technical expert to drive successful solution implementations. You will collaborate closely with our sales, engineering, and project management teams to understand customer requirements, design tailored solutions, and deliver compelling presentations and demonstrations. Your deep understanding of our products and services will enable you to provide valuable insights, address customer challenges, and guide them through the decision-making process.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Work with FNZ customers to help define proposition and product requirements. Provide market expertise as required. Be an SME in FNZ platform functionality and apply this understanding to help customers define propositions that best utilise or enhance FNZ core platform capabilities.  

  • Have a full understanding of a platform Target Operating Model, including the interfaces between platform and customers operations and FNZ investment operations. Provide advice to customers regarding best practice operating model design.  

  • Be an expert in the Model Wealth Solution and run the MWS Configuration process for new platform implementations, capturing all customer business outcomes in User Stories.  

  • Provide review and quality assurance of design documentation produced by the FNZ Systems analyst team.  

  • Have a good knowledge of the regulatory environment in which the Solution Consultant operates and provide advice and guidance to customers in respect of delivering a compliant platform.  

What are we ideally looking for in a successful candidate? 

  • New Zealand KiwiSaver, investments, scheme and registry product knowledge. 

  • An understanding of the regulatory environment and a good working knowledge of the regulatory change requirements for a given year.  

  • Commercial awareness.

  • Good team communication skills, confident in dealing with internal and external clients.

  • Knowledge of market prevalent customer delivery methodologies - such as Scaled Agile. 

  • Have exceptional customer facing and presentation skills (a presentation will be required as part of the interview process).

  • Show awareness of the New Business Committee (NBC) process and requirements. 

  • Be able to provide examples of a sales type approach (can be "selling" an idea or concept internally).
