Role purpose
The Group Reporting manager is a key member of the Group Accounting team which is responsible for the production and delivery of internal and external group financial reporting. The role involves significant liaison and coordinating with the Group’s local operating businesses to ensure the integrity and quality of results reported on a monthly basis.
This central role will also support the delivery of financial information and analysis required in order for the Group to meet its legal and regulatory compliance requirements such as statutory accounts and tax return filing.
Key responsibilities and outputs
Ownership of the periodic group reporting, providing oversight on the consolidation process, ownership of consolidation companies and journals, error handling and ensuring the businesses submit high quality information on time.
Key contact on the Group external audit process, preparing deliverables and responding to audit queries.
Liaising with and providing supporting financial information to the Group tax and treasury teams in order to meet compliance requirements.
Provision of technical accounting guidance and problem resolution across the Group as well as completion of valuation and impairment models.
Collaborating with the Standard Industries financial reporting team to provide financial analysis required for insight and compliance, as well as supporting in the alignment of BMI to standardised structures and reporting processes across the wider Standard Industries Group.
Knowledge & Skills required
Qualified ACCA/ACA or equivalent with a minimum of 3 years PQE.
Technically proficient (experience of Group consolidations and US GAAP highly beneficial).
Ability to handle a wide range of issues and multiple projects simultaneously, managing to tight deadlines.
Strong interpersonal skills & an ability to communicate well with senior management.
Excellent team management and organisational skills. Demonstrate the ability to lead in a global / matrix team environment.
