Product Engineer

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Unit Device, and process expert who has ownership for the performance of a Technology Platform (0.18um - 2um), and responsibility for addressing any process issues affecting the metrics of that process.
  • Provide engineering support for new product introduction and mature product lines in volume production.
  • Interface with design, process, test, reliability, and manufacturing engineering to solve product issues and production problems as the product(s) move from design and development, to completion, release, and high-volume production.
  • Develop and sustain process improvements to reduce production costs and increase yields.
  • Define problems by identifying failure modes, quantity of material affected, and percent fallout.
  • Perform circuit analysis on a variety of Analog and mixed signal integrated circuits by using Cadence and electrical lab equipment.
  • Identify root cause of issues by performing data analysis, problem and material characterization, fault isolation, IC circuit debugging, and physical failure analysis.
  • Directly engaging with our customers to provide best in class service.
  • Quality focus to improve customer PPB levels to best in industry.

Qualifications/Skill Set

  • BS/MS/PhD degree in Electrical Engineering, Applied Physics, or Material Science or related field.
  • 2+ yrs Experience in semiconductor Industry preferred but not essential
  • Must have excellent oral, written, and presentation communication skills to efficiently communicate across a global organization where success is highly dependent on collaboration and effective communication. 
  • Ability to lead and coordinate technical projects with diverse and cross-functional teams.
  • Experience with root cause investigations and corrective action implementation.
  • Understanding of device performance / process integration interactions
  • Understanding of integrated circuit functionality and device characterization
