The Product Marketing team at Etsy drives high value actions that enable customer growth and loyalty by developing the story and go-to-market strategy for what we’re building. We partner cross functionally to bring buyer products and features to market and drive engagement with features post launch.
As the Staff Product Marketing Manager, you will focus on Etsy’s app initiative, driving both app downloads and engagement. You will lead the go-to-market strategy and product adoption for features that improve the Etsy app experience, helping Etsy buyers discover, engage with, and purchase unique items on our app.
To be successful in this role, the Staff Product Marketing Manager will be a key partner in helping product teams articulate the value of the app, plan impactful launches, and ensure that product roadmaps support marketing strategies. This highly cross-functional role involves collaboration with Product, Engineering, Design, Brand, Content, Analytics, Research, and Marketing teams to improve the overall buyer experience through targeted and app-specific marketing efforts.
This is a full-time position reporting to the Sr. Manager, Product Marketing. In addition to salary, you will also be eligible for an equity package, an annual performance bonus, and our competitive benefits that support you and your family as part of your total rewards package at Etsy.
This role requires your presence in Etsy’s Brooklyn Office once or twice per week depending on your proximity to the office. What does the day-to-day look like?
Own the app-focused product marketing strategy across multiple cross-functional workstreams. You’ll lead the long-term vision for how we drive app downloads and engagement, influencing broader business outcomes.
Act as a strategic partner for cross-functional teams including Product, Design, Data Science, and Marketing. You’ll drive consensus on app feature launches to drive adoption and engagement, especially across core global markets.
Lead high-impact app marketing campaigns that are aligned with growth goals - including acquisition, engagement, and retention - in partnership with channel teams. You’ll craft clear positioning and messaging that articulates the unique value of Etsy’s app for buyers, ensuring that key app benefits are communicated effectively.
Define and measure the success of major initiatives, setting clear KPIs and using data to continuously refine strategies. You’ll lead app-related experimentation, regularly tracking progress and optimizing campaigns to maximize impact.
Serve as a specialist on platform-specific nuances, partnering with product and marketing teams to advise on opportunity sizing and prioritization across app, mobile web, and desktop web strategies.
Lead competitive analysis on consumer product experiences to inform go-to-market plans.
Use data to drive high-level strategic decisions, analyzing trends, user behavior, and performance across the app to uncover insights in service of download and engagement efforts.

Qualities that will help you thrive in this role are:
5 - 7 years of consumer product marketing, preferably operating in a multi-market or global role.
Experience delivering highly data-driven and impactful go-to-market and growth strategies.
Demonstrated ability to influence product roadmaps and lead cross-functional teams.
A strong command of data and ability to use quantitative reasoning skills to inform strategies and tell a strong narrative. Proficiency in SQL required
Deep experience partnering with B2C consumer product teams.
Strong command of quantitative and qualitative user research methods and applications.
Experience simplifying complex concepts into impactful marketing.
Track record of driving strong growth and results through product marketing strategies and campaigns. Experience with paid and SEO marketing a plus.
You have strong relationship-building skills with the ability to influence and motivate partners at all levels.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present to Executive Leadership.
Experience in app marketing strongly preferred.
