Overview of the Organization

Securities Services Technology(SST) is part of Services Technology organization. We deliver innovative engineering solutions to Securities Services Business and Operations across Funds, Custody, Execution

and Issuer Services.  We are currently driving a complex multi-year technology transformation program across multiple domains and functions in order to modernize our application portfolio, support the growth of the Securities Services business, increase operations automation and improve our risk and controls landscape, reduce operations risk events and remediate end user computing tools.

Global Head of Securities Services Operations Technology is a senior leadership position responsible for transforming Operations, automating manual touch points and reducing risks using technology.  The role will also provide leadership to all Sanctions Screening related programs, drive tech strategy and solutions. The role also includes India Site level leadership responsibilities for SST such as driving site level communication strategies, talent management, recruitment & workforce planning, reward and recognition initiatives, community events, diversity and inclusion initiatives, training and acting as a local escalation point for securities services teams in the country.

Priorities include:

  • End to End ownership and responsibility for driving technology strategy, solutions and roadmap to Operations transformation.
  • Establish successful partnership and operating model with key stakeholders including Technology, product and operations organizations.
  • Identify, develop and attract market leading talent, and drive a delivery culture, improve diversity across many measures.
  • Foster a culture of innovation and engineering excellence across our India based teams, modernizing our software development practices & improving developer efficiency.
  • Review, adapt and evolve our current target state architecture and the transition plan to target state architecture.
  • Implement new business solutions whilst reducing age and number of legacy applications.


Responsibilities:

  • Develop technology strategy for operations technology, architecture and implement best in class solutions for Operations Automation.
  • Accountable for the Design and implementation of strategic solutions across securities services for Sanctions Screening.
  • Build strong partnerships with key local partners across technology product and operations organizations.
  • Engage with Strategic Initiatives to help scope and shape those initiatives to ensure the outcomes are aligned to the Citi’s Engineering and Architecture Principles (EAP), including formulating detailed boundaries, connections and deployments.
  • Champion engineering excellence by actively promoting and governing the use of development standards and principles.
  • Own, manage and apply architecture governance on systems inventory, lifecycle management (EOVS/EOL) on IT assets and reduce technical debt.
  • The Site Head leads the SST Site leadership Team that is responsible for implementation of the strategy for the site (e.g., Communication, talent, reward and recognition, culture, employee engagement, HWW working and social responsibility).
  • Hosts regular employee information sessions that covers Citi performance, site updates, Rewards and Recognition, VOE and Community engagement accomplishments; Seniors meet-and-greet.
  • Accountable for addressing and resolving any site-related issues that impact attrition, capacity, risk and control or the general ability of the site to perform its functions.

Qualifications:

•    10+ years of relevant experience with 20+ years of industry experience.
•    Strategic leader who promotes and thrives in a culture of collaboration, partnerships, inclusion, and diversity.
•    Background in Financial Sector.

•    Exceptional communication, influencing and engagement skills across all levels in the organization.
•    Ability to organize and prioritize critical information to facilitate efficient decision making, providing oversight and guidance to team members in implementing successful projects.

•    Degree in engineering or a related field.
•    Experience and ease in interfacing with Senior Management.
•    Good influencing, facilitation, and partnering skills.
•    The candidate must be able to work with teams as well as independently in a dynamic, fast paced environment.
