This role is within Chamberlain Groups Operations and Supply Chain function. A successful incumbent is expected to (i) Ensure a clean and safe working environment as well as the safety and security of all employees by following all safety, company, and 6S standards in the distribution center and (ii) Perform all warehouse tasks utilizing standard work and policies in order to ensure highest levels of safety and quality. Education requirements include: High School Diploma or GED Equivalent; Forklift Certification; Experience requirements include 5+ years experience in warehouse and/or manufacturing environment OR 3+ years of experience in warehouse environment utilizing Manhattan WM.

 

 

Associate II, Distribution Center Duties:

Ensure a clean and safe working environment as well as the safety and security of all employees by following all safety, company, and 6S standards in the distribution center

Perform all warehouse tasks utilizing standard work and policies in order to ensure highest levels of safety and quality

Operate warehouse equipment in a safe and efficient manner in order ensure little to no accidents

Recommend visual aids with the distribution center in order maximize safety, quality, and productivity

Contribute and implement process suggestions in order to continuously improve warehouse operations

Identify deviations in the process and immediately notify supervisor in order to correct issue

Fully contribute in continuous improvement events to improve operations

Report company equipment and infrastructure damage to ensure repairs occur in order to minimize safety risk

This position requires regular and predictable on-site attendance and the ability to work the particular shift and/or schedule to which you are assigned, as well as additional hours as needed.

Comply with health and safety guidelines and rules; managers should also ensure compliance across their teams

Protect CGI’s reputation by keeping information confidential

Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies

Contribute to the team effort by accomplishing related results and participating on projects as needed

 

Associate II, Distribution Center - Qualifications:   

 

Forklift Certification

2+ years’ experience in warehouse and/or manufacturing environment OR 1+ years of experience in warehouse environment utilizing WM Systems

Ability to Read and Write in English

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and push/pull up to 100 pounds

Ability to stand, walk, and sit up

Ability to use hand to finger, handle, or feel

Ability to climb or balance

Ability to stoop, kneel, bend, crouch, or crawl

Ability to reach with hands and arms

Ability to talk or hear

Preferred Qualifications: Yellow Belt Certification; TWI Certification, Associates Degree, Lean Manufacturing Experience
