Job Title: Client Care Advisor (Veterinary Receptionist)

Salary: £21,640.32 per annum

Location: Pets 'n' Vets, Hairmyres branch, East Kilbride

Job Type: Permanent, Full-time

Hours: 36 hours per week - Monday, Wednesday, Thursday & Friday- 9:00-19:00

We are currently seeking a new Receptionist to join our fantastic team!

We would like to hear from candidates who are friendly, customer-focused and confident working in a busy environment.

The position will best suit a proactive and enthusiastic individual with a passion for providing excellent customer service.

Must be flexible to support all of our Veterinary Practices as required.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Welcoming and registering new customers.

  • Booking in customers and making sure they receive gold standard care

  • Answering the telephone and dealing with a range of customer queries

  • Managing customer expectations regarding wait time.

  • Administration duties e.g. scanning paperwork, filling in forms etc.

  • Taking payments

  • Promoting offers and services

Our receptionists should create the image and the first impression of our business, remaining calm, courteous and professional at all times, regardless of a client or visitor’s behaviour.

Our receptionists should make a positive impression and make clients feel confident in our service as a whole and helps to put them at ease if they are worried or apprehensive.

Experience required

  • Confident using the telephone

  • Reception or Client Care experience

  • Cash handling and till operation

  • Previous experience of working in a veterinary/doctors surgery (Desirable)

  • IT skills – confident in the use of Word, Excel and Outlook as a minimum
