The HR Coordinator will provide administrative assistance to the plant Human Resources department. This position will focus on recruiting, policy and procedure administration, training, and various administrative duties. The successful candidate will be highly motivated, well organized and have worked in a multi-tasked, fast paced environment. Candidate must have a solid foundation and understanding of Human Resources. This role is a stepping-stone for highly driven candidates to learn the organization and grow a career in Human Resources.

Core Responsibilities:

Responsibilities and tasks are written as follows:

  • Answers routine questions and inquiries that require knowledge of established departmental procedures and familiarity with operations and programs within human resources.

  • Provides necessary resources to empower employees with the knowledge and materials needed (FMLA, LOA, ADA, Workday resources, HR Service Center, etc.)

  • Processes human resource documentation for employees, including I-9 compliance.

  • Schedules meetings and training as requested by HR and/or Operations partners.

  • Assists in preparing correspondence as requested.

  • Monitors facility time and attendance. Initiates appropriate corrective action as needed.

  • Assists and/or facilitates orientation which includes training documentation.

  • Performs exit interviews and compiles feedback.

  • Completes special assignments and projects as required.

  • Serves as a visible business partner, regularly visits the production floor to engage employees at all levels, relating openly and comfortably with diverse groups of people.

  • Assists in HR-related compliance audits including SMETA/SWA..

  • Perform tasks and other administrative projects as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED and 2+ years relevant experience required.

  • Experience being organized, flexible and multi-task oriented in a fast-paced environment.

  • Must be able to work with all levels of an organization and manage-up effectively.

  • Solid understanding of Human Resources functions and requirements.

  • Ability to deal with and handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion and tact.

  • Previous Workday/HCM system experience preferred.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Bilingual preferred.

  • Demonstrated ability to work well with others in fast-paced, dynamic environment.

  • Must be respectful, approachable and team oriented while building strong working relationships and a positive work environment.
