Ce cours se veut principalement une formation introductive sur le droit du sport québécois, national et international. Le cours abordera les thèmes suivants : les systèmes sportifs québécois, canadiens et internationaux (sport amateur et professionnel : les institutions sportives et leurs membres, le dopage, les événements sportifs), l’application des domaines de droit à l’industrie du sport (droit du travail, droit des affaires, responsabilité civile, droit criminel, propriété intellectuelle, droit international, etc…), l’arbitrage et la médiation sportifs. Le cours sera offert en français sous forme magistrale, par le biais d’exercices pratiques en groupe et individuellement, d’études de cas et par la simulation de cas reliés au droit du sport tels que la simulation d’un arbitrage en matière de sport ou une séance de négociation. Également, des invités de calibre international viendront présenter des thèmes reliés au droit sportif (en français ou en anglais). L’étudiant aura donc un aperçu global et général du droit du sport et des options de carrière reliées à ce domaine de droit.Posting limited to:

La Section de common law veut recruter des professeurs à temps partiel qui sont des leaders dans la profession juridique. Pour ce cours, un LL.B. ou J.D. (ou son équivalent) est nécessaire. Le candidat ou candidate doit aussi être membre en bonne et due forme du Barreau de l’Ontario (ou son équivalent). Il ou elle doit aussi avoir une expérience significative dans ce domaine du droit. Le fait d’avoir enseigné ce cours auparavant est un atout.
