The Infrastructure Engineer provides expertise in supporting one or more products or services while pro-actively monitoring, controlling and supporting service operations; working to achieve service levels. Maintains the organization's IT infrastructure, which may include hardware, software, servers, storage solutions, networks, or physical facilities.

Essential Functions:

  • Assist in and be an essential backup for monitoring and administering a multi-server LINUX/Informix Dynamic Server database environment.
  • Take a lead role in and provide guidance for team members in managing, provisioning, and troubleshooting Azure AD and MFA with third party and M365 applications.
  • Assist in administering a heavily virtualized multi-server Windows and LINUX network, including Cisco VPN connectivity, Internet/Web connectivity, Exchange email, back-ups, security, and user administration.
  • Monitor and regularly report status of network components and performance.
  • Assist in the analysis, diagnosis, and resolution of network expansion, configuration, and performance issues.
  • Assist in the planning, evaluation, configuration, and installation of servers and related equipment and software.

Education/Experience:

  • Strong Understanding of LINUX server configuration and tuning. SUSE and Ubuntu LINUX a plus.
  • Good Understanding of IBM’s Informix Dynamic Server configuration and tuning a strong plus.
  • Demonstrated experience managing, provisioning, and troubleshooting Azure AD and M365 applications.
  • Experience working in a heavily regulated and security conscious environment.
  • Working knowledge and training in networking, computer hardware, Internet, Client/Server and computer operating systems
  • Cisco router, Cisco switch configuration and management a plus
  • Web application management and user access control
  • At least 5 years of experience administering LINUX Networks and servers
  • Some Microsoft certifications preferred (Windows, MS Exchange, and SQL Server) Azure cloud certifications a strong plus
  • Other certifications preferred
