PRIMARY PURPOSE:
The Marketing Coordinator works closely with the Director of Marketing/Business Development, Office Administrator, and the Mall Manager in the development and implementation of mall marketing programs, executions of community-based programs, and retailer and community relations, SBV administrative duties and gift card program responsibilities.  

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:  

  • The successful candidate’s responsibilities will include, but not be limited to: 

  • Serves as liaison to tenants in communicating SBV initiatives including Gift card, Tourism Initiatives, Events and special promotions.

  • Responsible for maintaining the gift card program and working directly with guest services associates that will include gift card training and daily reporting. 

  • Responsible for understanding and following policies and procedures pertaining to each individual initiative of the marketing department of the center.

  • Assists in on-site management of center events, promotions and sponsorships as necessary and directed.  Including pre and post event follow up. Implement platform programs in a professional and timely manner and assist in the measuring of results.

  • Maintaining a professional physical appearance of common areas of the Center including marketing materials, signage, displays, etc. and ensuring that all displayed information is current and relevant.

  • Assists in the marketing of the center to tenants as well as customers with the expectation of improving guests and tenant’s perception of the center.

  • Serves as hotel liaison for Shop and Stay Packages, Group Tours and Programs.

  • Assists in the execution and coordination for the Customer Service Initiative property wide, working with all departments as it relates to this initiative.

  • Actively participates in the center’s community centric events, which includes networking and working community events.

  • Collateral Management:  Assists with ordering, installation and de-installation of collateral associated with all events, promotions and sponsorships.

  • Administration:  Assists with the completion and submission of all reports and surveys associated with center events, promotions and/or sponsorships.

  • Assists Director with the coordination of materials, presentations and preparations needed for trade shows.

  • Grows retailer participation in corporate and local driven events including military discount offer program and coupon book. 

  • Provides support and assistance to co-workers and to other departments as requested by supervisor; participates in team meetings and efforts to implement the center’s projects and achieve the center’s goals.

  • Assist with SYF programs when necessary

  • Maintain mall website, Social Media communications, and collateral material

    
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • College degree preferred 

  • 3 years of experience in sales, sponsorship, strategic marketing, event management, and budgeting

  • Knowledge of retail management, marketing, tour operators and meeting planners

  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously

  • Event planning experience

  • Well-developed oral and written skills

  • Sound fiscal management and budgeting skills

  • Excellent word processing, Excel, and Power Point skills

  • Flexibility to work varied schedules including weekends and evenings

  • Travel may be required during peak seasons


The salary range for this position is $16.88 - $35.34.  Actual compensation within that range will be dependent upon various factors, including an individual’s skills, experience, and qualifications.
