The Retail RWA Sr. Lead Analyst is a strategic professional will be accountable for overall determination of Risk Weighted Assets and Supplementary Leverage Exposure for Retail Exposures.  Successful candidate will be an experienced professional with strong and proven data analytical skills, understanding of data flows between systems and project management skills who is able to partner with risk, operations, service teams, business and other stakeholders to ensure the timely execution of RWA optimization initiatives. The successful candidate will need to be a self-starter, who can successfully work and lead in a team environment often under time constraints.

The position will report to Head of Retail RWA Lead who is responsible for ensuring RWA & Supplementary Leverage Exposure (SLE). An experienced professional with strong and proven data analytical skills, understanding of data flows between systems and project management skills who is able to partner with first and second lines and other stakeholders to ensure the timely execution of RWA calculation. The successful candidate will need to be a self-starter, who can successfully work and lead in a team environment often under time constraints. In depth knowledge of Basel capital rules and experience with their application is a prerequisite for this role.

Responsibilities:

  • Be a team lead to support the analysis and submission of reports for Basel Retail RWA Reporting based on US Regulatory requirements.  Primary focus will be on ensuring the end-to-end integrity of the RWA results and the processes / procedures the team uses to achieve their deliverables
  • Lead a team to develop metrics to drive process improvements, process enhancements and enhanced controls
  • Manage activities projects and solutions related to production close for the US RWA reporting supporting multiple entities
  • Develop and effectively leverage project plans and metrics to coordinate, execute and track key activities and deliverables and monitor and continuously improve processes and systems.
  • Work closely with key Finance, Risk and Technology partners to ensure alignment with strategic goals, robust status and expectation management including collaboration to remove roadblocks and optimize opportunities.
  • Implement and align effective processes and controls to support a sustainable audit ready production process around RWA Reporting. Evaluate risk and controls needed to manage tactical solutions required to deliver timely and accurate RWA Reporting for key partners.

Qualifications:

  • Excellent analytical background and skill set to understand Regulatory Reporting (Basel / Risk Weighted Assets strongly preferred) processes, including system data flows.
  • Able to work with large volumes of data from different sources. Experience using coding skills, analytical tools, SQL, R, SAS or Python a plus
  • 10+ years of relevant experience, within the financial services industry highly preferred.
  • Ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines.
  • Previous Management experience, strong people leadership skills
  • Ability to build strong relationships with stakeholder and execute on stakeholder management

Education:

Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM). Master’s Degree preferred

Salary Range for Tampa ,FL: $141,440 thru $212,160.
