The Assistant Director provides strategic support in the planning, curation, and administration of Co-Curricular Learning (CCL), a university-wide strategic educational initiative designed to provide students with learning opportunities beyond the academic curriculum to equip them with key graduate attributes and competencies. The incumbent, in the Student Affairs Office, will work collaboratively across NTU units to promote CCL among the student body.
Key Responsibilities:
University-wide Communication and Outreach Initiatives for Co-Curricular Learning
Strategise and deliver an effective communication plan using a variety of outreach methods (internet, social media, roadshows) to educate the university community on CCL.
Develop strategies to drive CCL participation by NTU Units and students.
End-to-End Co-Curricular Learning Administration
Manage the end-to-end administration of CCL which includes:
Course review and approval
Course enrolment
Course completion tracking
CCL transcript
Graduate Attributes mapping
Managing appeals
Support Associate Provost (Student Life) Office in CCL policy and procedure review to ensure a positive student experience.
Advise schools, departments and units in the development and administration of CCL modules in compliance with the CCL framework and policies.
Co-Curricular Learning System Management
Lead in the set-up, launch, and continuous enhancement of the CCL system which includes:
Defining business process and system requirements
Managing project timeline
Stakeholder engagement
User acceptance test
Reconfiguration to meet the changing business needs
Prepare NTU units to adopt to the new CCL system, which would include the development of user guides and training for users at each phase of implementation.
Data Governance and Analytics
Prepare metrics for management reporting, and handling data requests in compliance with the Data Governance Policy.
Analyse data on CCL implementation to provides insights to inform management and units planning.
Requirements
A good degree from a recognised university, with at least 10 - 12 years of relevant working experience in tertiary education administration.
Experience with academic services administration will be advantageous.
A strong grasp of pedagogical skills with experience in designing learning experiences.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate with people at different levels of the organisation.
Ability to drive results and achieve outcomes for a university-level project.
