As part of the Enterprise applications team, the functional analysis specialist will provide senior level expertise in maturing our support of providing safe, secure and reliable services for Workday. This position requires deep knowledge and experience of Workday, as well as process development, reporting, project support and sustainment.
What you will do:
Understand strategic Human Resources imperatives, work closely with HR teams to document functional requirements and architect simple and scalable solutions in Workday.
Responsible to ensure technology related issues are identified, tracked, reported on and resolved in a timely manner.
Conduct gap analysis effectively against solution alternatives, identifying functional gaps, risks, benefits and pros/cons.
Design and lead test activities for integrations and configuration; document test scenarios, building test scripts.
Lead HR systems release tasks including validation of Workday production releases (2x per year / weekly where required) - Regression testing, analysis, business engagement)
Collaborate closely with HR business areas to understand functional and configuration changes in Workday. Bridge the gap between Workday setup and downstream integrations (both internal and external), ensuring that changes align with business needs and drive seamless integration across HCM, Time, Learning, Compensation, Talent, Benefits, Absence, Recruiting, Payroll, and other functional areas
Improve existing approaches by seeking opportunities to creatively transform current practices.
Responsible to analyze problems and opportunities effectively, identify which changes may deliver the most value, and work with stakeholders to understand the impact of those changes.
Contribute to successful project completion within scope and on time by working with the Project Manager to manage changes to business requirements and provide project coordination as necessary.
Responsible for effective and frequent communication with business, be responsive and available to business concerns, issues, feedback, and questions.
Accountable to trace and validate requirements with appropriate stakeholders to ensure accuracy of documentation, obtaining necessary sign-off from business owner.
Create and maintain related calculated fields in Workday for reporting and integrations; communicate calculated fields needs across areas to avoid redundancy and achieve efficiency.
Who you are:
You have related university degree or diploma, and you have minimum of 7 years techno functional IT experience.
Deep knowledge of Workday, integration design, time configuration and payroll, advanced configurations, Workday Learning, etc.
Deep knowledge of business improvement tools and techniques – process mapping, analysis, design and re-engineering.
A critical thinker and problem solver with the ability to push the solution and progress.
Able to build a sense of trust and rapport that creates a comfortable & effective workplace.
Physical Requirements include but are not limited to:
Grasping, kneeling, light – moderate lifting (objects up to 20 pounds), reaching above shoulder, repetitive motion, typing, sitting, standing, visual requirement (able to see screens, detect color coding, read fine print), hearing requirement and the ability to sit at a computer for long periods of time.
