Northrop Grumman (AS) Budgets Rates and Overhead Business Management is seeking a Sr Principal Budget Analyst 4. This position will be located in one of our US NG sites including Palmdale, CA, San Diego, CA, Rancho Bernardo, CA, Redondo Beach, CA Melbourne, FL, Clearfield, UT, Edwards AFB. Other NG sites will be considered. Open to hybrid work schedule.

Essential Functions:

The successful applicant will become part of Northrop Grumman's Aeronautics Sector Business Management supporting Budgets, Rates and Overhead Management (BROM). Candidate will work with the BROM team as well as other departments on the following:

  • Lead Analyst supporting Division Reporting to Leadership and all aspects of Manpower Forecasting (Labor Resource and Planning – LRAP)

  • Part of the integration team for the Northrop Grumman Rates and Budget tool, identifying and recommending to BROM management areas for business/process improvement, compliance, or concerns

  • Prepare, analyze, and report monthly financial reports, variance analysis, forecasts and communicate recommendations to management

  • Liaison to Governmental Agencies (DCAA/DCMA)

  • Adhoc support for internal customers and government requests

  • Support internal key stakeholders for compliance direction

 

Basic Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration (Accounting, Data Analytics, Economics, Finance, Management, Marketing, etc.) or Business adjacent degree (Mathematics, Risk Management) with a minimum of 8 years of financial work experience - OR - a Master’s degree as described with 6 year of financial work experience.

  • Experience with and knowledge of financial reporting and accounting principles/concepts

  • Experience with Advanced Microsoft office software proficiency required, specifically Excel

  • Experience presenting to executives and management (Director, Center Managers, Department Managers, Section Managers, Technical Staff)

  • Experience with SAP/S4

  • Ability to work onsite on a hybrid work schedule 2-3 days per week in the office

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong oral and written communication skills with confidence interfacing with all levels of management

  • Experience with Hyperion

  • Self-motivated and have strong interpersonal skills

  • Strong analytical and organizational skills

  • Demonstrated ability to effectively participate on team projects

Salary ranges will be dependent upon where the position is based and follows our company geographic salary bands aligned with position, as this posting may include multiple locations and provide a variety of salary ranges per location. Specific salary offer for candidate selected will be commensurate with experience and aligned with local geography.

Salary Range: $86,300.00 - $150,000.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
