What you'll do:
- As SOFTWARE ENGINEER III, You are responsible for coding, unit testing, building high performance and scalable applications that meet the needs of millions of customers, in the areas of supply chain management.
- You are expected to be more intellectually curious engineer who is passionate about domain/technology in general.
- Designing and implementing data processing pipelines to collect, clean, and preprocess large datasets.
- Conduct exploratory data analysis to gain insights and identify data quality issues.
- Develop and maintain data pipelines to ensure data integrity and availability for analysis and modeling.
- Designing, Implementing, and maintain Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment pipelines.
- Automate/Optimize the build, test, and deployment processes to enable rapid and reliable software delivery.
- Collaborate with Walmart cross-functional teams, including Product managers, Architects, and other developers, to understand data requirements and deliver optimal solutions. Document engineering processes, data flows, and technical specifications.
- Keep up-to-date with the latest advancements as SENIOR SOFTWARE ENGINEER, and related technologies, frameworks, and tools. Continuously improve skills and knowledge through self-learning and professional development.
What you'll bring:
Proficiency as SOFTWARE ENGINEER III having 3+ years of experience :
- Experience in Spring/Spring Boot, REST API , Java with DSA & Docker technical stack and API design principles, including versioning, authentication, and authorization.
- Knowledge of database design and experience with relational databases like SQL, PostgreSQL, as well as NoSQL databases with Hadoop, Query Optimization & Distributed computing frameworks
- Experience with popular front-end frameworks like React, Angular, or Vue.js, and the ability to create custom components and widgets.
- Strong understanding of back-end development principles and experience with popular server-side languages like Node.js, Ruby, Python, or Java.
- Experience in GraphQL, Docker, Jenkins/Looper, Javascript, HTML/CSS and familiarity with popular API protocols as well
- Experience with cloud computing platforms like Google Cloud (preferable), including deploying and managing applications in a cloud environment good knowledge on SPARK/Scala/PySpark
- Understanding of test-driven development (TDD) methodologies and proficiency in writing unit tests and end-to-end tests for both front-end and back-end components.
- Experience &expertise in Data processing and Data manipulation skills like Data warehousing concepts, SCD types etc At-least one cloud exposure (GCP is preferred)
- Proficiency in using Git or other version control systems to manage code changes and collaborate with team members
- Knowledge of security best practices and experience with security protocols like SSL/TLS, OAuth, and JWT.
- Experience with Orchestration\Scheduling tools like Airflow/ Automic etc
- Familiarity with agile development methodologies like Scrum or Kanban, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
