About the Team

Virtus from FIS is a leading provider of alternative investment services and technology solutions, specializing in delivering comprehensive front, middle, and back-office services to asset managers, banks, and other institutional investors. Virtus helps its clients manage their alternative investment portfolios, including CLO/CDOs, private equity, hedge funds, and other alternative assets.

What You Will Be Doing

Virtus Trade Settlement (VTS) offers cutting-edge technology for primary and secondary market loan settlements. The automated platform is both efficient and intuitive, minimizing processing errors and facilitating better management of loan assets and cash. The platform is enriched with deal information provided by agent banks and VTS takes care of the rest. Users can share documents and information electronically across the platform. As a Senior Securities Operations Associate, you will provide client support and loan trade closings on the VTS platform.

  • Assist clients with deal and asset on-boarding by monitoring and managing large volumes of loan closings, updating data, and performing reconciliations
  • Field client queries, communicate and resolve trade issues, escalations, and assess system issues for quality assurance
  • Build deal templates, user profiles, onboard clients, and create fund account profiles
  • Coordinate trade closings among counterparties, agents, and other groups to include formulation of pricing, review of par, and distressed trade documentation
  • Review funding memos for discrepancies prior to settlement, as well as process and reconcile pending trades to client’s trade tickets/blotter
  • Follow up on pending trades over T+10, maintain comments, update fee calculation spreadsheets, and prepare loan settlement reports
  • Assist Asset Administration during quarter-end, or other high-volume days as needed

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and work experience
  • Typically, 4 or more years’ experience in accounting or finance
  • High proficiency in Excel and advanced Microsoft Office skills
  • Understanding of broadly syndicated loans and transfer documentation, including purchase price letters, netting letters, funding memos, participation agreements, consent and elevation agreements, termination agreements and transfer certificates
  • Knowledge of trade fee calculations, along with ability to read and interpret credit agreements
  • Exposure to both TSI and ClearPar systems

FIS is committed to providing its employees with an exciting career opportunity and competitive compensation. The pay range for this full-time position is $23.78 - $38.77 and reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for this position based on the posted role, level, and location. Within the range, actual individual starting pay is determined additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Any changes in work location will also impact actual individual starting pay. Please consult with your recruiter about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.
