Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
Research and write profiles and other stories, interview story subjects and collaborate with the photo team and associate director of internal communications to produce visually compelling packages.
Generate innovative story ideas that promote the people and programs at WashU Medicine, elevate the school’s brand and connect to strategic priorities.
Cover major WashU Medicine events, including the annual Commencement and White Coat ceremonies, from the internal communications perspective.
Collaborate with members of the executive leadership team to craft messages and updates that connect the WashU Medicine community to key initiatives.
Write accolades and build a calendar of annual honors and awards for planning and coverage.
Build and publish stories in a content management system.
Assist with editing and rewriting submitted content.
Assist with other writing and editing assignments, as needed.
Utilize project management tools to keep projects organized.
