FLUIDICS TEAMS

Our fluidics team is located across Oak Harbor, WA, Rohnert Park, CA, Bristol, CT, and Middleboro, MA. At IDEX Health & Science, we don’t just build components; we also create innovative solutions that maximize performance and enable complete optimization of the fluidic pathway. Product lines include: Column Hardware, Degassers, Fluidic Connections, Manifolds, Pumps, Pump Components, Sensors, RI Detectors, and Valves.

SUMMARY

The Product Manager is responsible for supporting the product life cycle of fluidic products for the in vitro diagnostic (IVD) and biotechnology markets from ideation, development, introduction, growth, maturity, and decline.  The role will work cross functionally with Commercial, Operations, and Engineering functions to develop and implement strategies for sustained profitable growth. This will include, and not be limited to, market education/training, competitive market research, developing business cases for new products and services, commercially launching new products and services through collaboration with Project Management, Operations, and Engineering teams, development of sales tools and collateral, and utilizes an 80/20 mindset to all aspects of the portfolio and yearly pricing. The qualified candidate must be passionate about customer intimacy, communication, and responsiveness.

 ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills and or abilities required.

  • Collaborate with the Product Management team to support all aspects of the product life cycle including roadmap development, and identification and implementation of key growth initiatives.
  • Collaborate with Project Management, Operations, and Engineering, to develop New Product Development (NPD) business cases and support NPD from ideation to product launch.
  • Ensure products support the overall business strategy and goals.
  • Conduct robust voice-of-customer to validate market/competitive dynamics, new product business cases, and to generally stay closely connected to the market.
  • Drive Product Life Cycle from ideation and launch through end of life.
  • Specify market requirements for current and future products based on market research and customer/sales interactions.
  • Conduct market and competitive analysis for products and applications.
  • Collaborate with sales and marketing to create go-to-market activities, and product and application training.
  • Track and report product level performance including sales, margin, price, and competitive benchmarking.
  • Create and maintain product commercial and technical documentation.
  • Support pre- and post-sales support on new and existing products and services, as necessary.
  • Conduct yearly pricing activities and 80/20 of the portfolio with a strategic mindset.
  • Develop in-depth understanding of competitor’s tactics, strategies, and products.
  • Prompt attention to requests from Operations, Commercial requiring field support.
  • Timely and appropriate record keeping and documentation of project status.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in a technical field (engineering, sciences)
  • 4+ years of technical sales, product management/marketing, applications/engineering experience

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Computer efficiency – highly proficient in MS Office and working knowledge of company ERP system to track product level detail
  • Professional experience in product development, sales, and/or marketing functions a plus
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; especially when presenting to customers, representatives, and other key stakeholders
  • Strong organizational and planning skills; attention to detail is a critical required skill
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving and skill
  • Technical aptitude to learn and become subject matter expert on company products and applications
  • Ability to research and develop business cases for applications and products
  • Works effectively in a team environment; both with internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to travel – up to 20%

Total Rewards

The compensation range for this position is $117,500.00 - $176,300.00, depending on experience. This position may be eligible for performance based bonus plan.
