Job Title: Client Care Manager (Veterinary)

Salary: £35,000 per annum

Location: Calder Vets, Dewsbury

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Hours: 40 hours per week

Shifts: Monday to Friday, 8:00-17:00. Must be flexible to cover shifts if required.

We are looking for an experienced, proactive associate to join our friendly team as a client care manager.

We are looking for someone who is able to lead by example to promote positive, open communication across all teams and go above and beyond for our clients.


This role will require extensive communication with clients, staff, the wider team and other businesses by telephone, face-to-face, email and possibly some good, old-fashioned letter writing, so you must be confident and competent across all.

Roles and Responsibilities

Duties to include, but not limited to:

  • Working closely with senior managers in the clinical, marketing, financial and human resources teams to deliver and promote practice objectives.

  • To manage, motivate and support the client care team in providing professional services to clients, callers, and visitors to Garston Veterinary Group.

  • Act as line manager to the client care team, organising regular appraisals and team meetings

  • Creation of team rota

  • Management of TOIL, absences and holiday requests/cover

  • Ensuring practice GDPR compliance

  • Aid in recruitment, induction and training of staff

  • Complaint and feedback response

  • produce a monthly report to update the senior team on departmental activity

  • Appropriate management of consultation and surgical diary

  • To ensure that strategic objectives, as set by the clinical directors, are delivered, with adherence to budget figures.

Required Experience

  • Minimum of 3 years customer service/ client care experience.

  • Experience working in the Veterinary industry (Desirable)

  • Demonstrative leadership capability.

  • Excellent computer skills/using Microsoft Office.

  • Previous experience leading, developing and training a team.

  • Full UK Driving Licence ( This position does require traveling between clinics)
