Position Overview:

This position is responsible for the delivery of E2E programs through a methodical approach of planning, executing, and controlling projects from start to finish.
The Senior Staff Solution Program Manager (Sr Staff SPM) demonstrates solution ownership and guides teams through the program execution process to realize strategic objectives of the E2E Franchise.
The Sr Staff SPM uses professional program management concepts and frameworks in accordance with company objectives to solve complex problems in a creative and effective way and exercises a balance of independent judgment and group organization in developing methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for planning, program management, and on-time delivery of major enterprise-wide strategic priorities such as product and country launches, and complex large-scale systems releases, across multiple Agile Solution Delivery trains
  • Build and maintain overall detailed program plan, Gantt chart, status updates, and RAIDE Register (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies and Escalations) integrating all cross-functional workstreams.
  • Maintain and update program schedule and dependencies integrated with Agile teams, ARTs, and Solutions PI Plans
  • Lead release-based program core team for assigned program(s)
  • Lead program-related activities of project team members, providing guidance on conformance to established design control procedures.
  • Identify and assess mitigation options for program risks and issues and escalate as needed to ensure program success.
  • Assist Product Managers and core teams in problem solving and scenario analysis to assess impact of change requests.
  • Provide input to Agile teams and ARTs review during PI planning and assess impact of PI Planning output to overall plan.
  • Adhere to all regulatory agency standards, company quality standards, and corporate policies.
  • Perform other duties as required.

  • Develops and maintains 24-month program schedule & supporting detailed integrated program plan, identification and communication of programs risks, issues, and blockers impacting overall program delivery.
  • Influences program timelines, budget, and priorities, change management of any changes impacting overall program timeline.
  • Vetoes unapproved schedule or resource changes that will impact overall program timeline and unapproved communication of program status, scenario analysis, timelines/roadmaps, risks, or issues.

Required Skills and Competencies

  • Medical Device Program Management experience
  • Agile/SAFe certification and transformation experience
  • Project management certification preferred.
  • Experience leading development, testing, and commercial launch of complex innovative hardware, software, and cloud connected medical devices.
  • Experience working with Agile teams to develop and launch products against concreate deadlines.
  • Demonstrated flexibility and ability to function in a fast-paced, growth industry and work environment.
  • Proficient in the following computer software applications:
    MS 365 Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint Project, Outlook, Teams), Miro, Smartsheet, SharePoint, Timeline Pro.
  • Helpful to have working knowledge or familiarity with:
    - Agile applications (Jira & Confluence), 
    - CRM Environments (SalesForce, Marketing Cloud),
    - ERP system (SAP),
    - Identity Management (Okta, .Net)
    - Integration (Mulesoft)
    - PLM & QMS applications (Arena),
    - PPM tools (Clarity),
     

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field; Advanced degree preferred
  • Agile and SAFe Practice Consultant (SPC) certifications
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in Lean-Agile training and coaching, with a proven track record of leading Lean-Agile transformations in large, complex organizations
  • Experience implementing Agile/SAFe transformations within the medical device product development industry
     

Additional Information

  • The position can be remote, hybrid, or in-person at our Acton or San Deigo offices

Travel is estimated at 25% but will flex depending on business need

Additional Information:

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $129,700.00 - $194,950.00. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position in the primary work location in the US. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
